Living near Ashtead Station

Hello, we are a young family looking to move to Ashtead. We have started looking at properties in the area where some are the other side of the level crossing near Ashtead station. I wanted to know if this can be a nuisance if you're trying to get some where in a rush and how often are you waiting if you do get stuck at the crossing?

Hi, sorry I don’t have any advice on that but I’ve come across your thread as we are also considering Ashtead as an area to move to with our two children but need to do research into it as we’re not overly familiar with the area. Can I ask why you’ve chosen here?
