DD14 and I are staying with my best friend of almost 40 years and her family (two teen DS and DH) for 3 nights soon. She has a restaurant so we're going to have lunch there one day and dinner in a tapas restaurant. We will be at her house for breakfasts and Sunday lunch.
I was thinking to buy meat etc for Sunday lunch, what else would you take with you to contribute? The last time I stayed with her we were carefree twenty somethings I took booze 😂

Ask them 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'd still take booze! Admittedly nicer stuff than I did in my 20s. And pay for the tapas meal as they're providing the other meals (I wouldn't buy the meat for a Sunday roast).

I would not buy the meat, I think that's weird, especially as they own a restaurant. Wine, flowers, chocolate for the kids...

We already discussed Sunday lunch and I said I'd get the food for it abd we're going to cook it together
