Hive Mind help! How can I get this dinner service from France?

I've changed user name, because it's slightly embarrassing how fixated on this I've become...

I've been searching online for a dinner service, and a vintage one popped up in Agen in France, which is absolutely perfect. It's being sold on a classified ads site, but it's quite a large service and naturally the seller wants it collected in person.

Any ideas how I go about this? I live in another EU country, so it could be shipped relatively easily after being packed up, but me travelling to Agen to pick it up and then send it to myself would be insane, even for me (and would quadruple the cost at least).

I've seen that France has Taskrabbit, and a similar service called Yoojo, but could I trust someone to handle this remotely? Am also worried about the language barrier. Do any French MNers have experience with these services?

Any other ideas or services anyone knows about?

If you're willing to travel to pack it up would you be able to drive and collect it?

it's really far, 1500km or so, and would cost many times the value of the set in fuel and tolls. France is massive!

Google France to Uk parcel service. I've just done the same with US to Uk. Not very expensive at all.

The parcel service isn't the issue, there are plenty of those I can use, and I can pay for a postage label remotely. The issue is that the dinner service needs to be collected in person from the seller, and then packed and sent to me using a parcel service. The seller won't do it, they just want an easy sale.
