Petty injustices that make you want to cry

I’ve got raging tonsillitis. Literally agony. All I wanted to do is nip into town to get my prescription from Boots, and I didn’t want to pay £3.50 for an hour’s parking to do it. There are spaces for about 10 or 12 (if people don’t park like dicks) cars to park for an hour for free in the town centre in bays in the street. They were all taken when I arrived so I start circling the block waiting for one to free up. Eventually a car ends up in front of me, does one lap, ONE MEASLY LAP of the block, a space frees up and in he goes. This happened to me THREE MORE TIMES. The second time, the woman driving didn’t even get out, she just bloody sat there in her car! By this point I’m in so much pain I could cry, my baby is screaming because he’s fed up of being in the car seat, even the people at the bus stop were feeling sorry for me!

I eventually got a space… when the bastard who stole the first spot from me came back to his car and left! The people at the bus stop literally cheered!

Yeah I know it’s first come first served and they were in front of me yadda yadda… but I WAS there first, they just managed to jump the queue!!

Rant over, thanks for reading.

I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds horrible when you're unwell. Could you change to an online pharmacy service that delivers to your home?

It was a 111 prescription that they sent straight to Boots, not a repeat thing.

Honestly I nearly burst into tears when a third space opened up and a bloke in a shiny red Jaguar looking saloon appeared round the corner and just glided straight in.

And now the snotty pharmacist is after telling me it doesn’t look THAT bad and she’s gonna prescribe antibiotics but she doesn’t think I really NEED them… 🤬 when I’ve not eaten solid food since Wednesday and the back of my mouth looks like the white cliffs of Dover

Sorry to hear that you're feeling so crappy OP and hope you feel better soon. Unfortunately, people always seem to take advantage of you when you're not feeling well. I know that they obviously didn't KNOW that you are unwell, but in your mind, they are taking the piss out of you. I experience this on a regular basis as a sufferer of rheumatoid/osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. I have days when I feel like absolute crap and it always seems that on this days, people take advantage of me not feeling well,e.g. I've been standing in a shop queue for ages, cashier comes along and opens another till and before I can get my weary bones to react and move, someone from behind me has jumped in. Infuriating.
