I could see all the connections but had to google to check a few words. As for purple my connection was far far simpler - but sort of correct in the end.

Did not like this mornings. My red herring was a much better grouping than any of theirs. Purple was just ridiculous.

I fell for that lovely shiny red herring, then was stumped by yellow and had to consult a list - I knew what the connection was but it’s not a topic I know anything about.

I liked Purple, it was a real “aha! I see what you mean” moment

I had to google one of the blues, one of the greens and all the yellows (I knew what the links were but not the words). Purple is tenuous. I also failed on Wordle today.

I wasted 3 mistakes on trying to get yellow. So cross!

Yeah. nope. As soon as I saw the picture clue, I knew I hadn't got a hope without googling. Eventually I made a wild and stupid guess with purple because the yellows were tangling me up. And lo, turns out the wild and stupid guess was correct!
