Would this annoy you and how would you approach ?

I got up at 7 am put slow cooker on, went to work, got kids from minder,came home washed floors and all the usual, took kids to barber then did voluntary work

dh cycled leisurely to work, came home and didn’t see dinner in slow cooker, waited until I got in. Then ate, when I came back the dishwasher had finished but he was in another room watching to and left the dirty dishes

Yes it would annoy me. I would approach it by using my words and saying can you wash up please.

I'd approach it by letting him sort his own dinner out in future.

I'd probably just have a glass of wine & not get annoyed about a non problem. It's Friday eve, time to chill who cares if the dishwasher isn't unloaded, he can do it tomorrow.

Of course it would annoy anyone!

I would be concerned that his psychic powers had disappeared. I would then have a chat and describe how his behaviour makes me feel. Perhaps describe my day and how his lack of consideration felt very disrespectful.

I'd then try to divvy out chores according to time and ask for more consideration moving forward. I'd also be clear about my expectations.

If he carries on being a dead weight I'd reconsider the relationship.

I just put my head around the door and said ‘I’m not cleaning the dishes since I did everything else today’ to which point he looked confused but got up and did them and has now gone to mil who will tell him he’s amazing

I think next Friday and for the foreseeable- no dinner
