Missing woman Malton, Yorkshire

So sad to read about the missing woman Victoria Taylor missing in Malton, North Yorkshire. She has a little girl and is engaged, has a job she seemingly loves and lots of loving friends and family. Her belongings were found near a river but it doesn't make any sense as to what has happened. 4 days now and nothing. 🙁 I keep thinking about it, hopefully her family will get answers soon.

There's still no luck, and it's been seven days.

Why is no one looking for her/on the news?

"Her belongings were found near a river but it doesn't make any sense as to what has happened."

None if us know what has happened. But there is a very obvious explanation that may or may not be true. It simply is not true that nothing makes sense.

This is very sad, I really hope she is found soon.
There doesn't seem to be much news on this- probably due to all the horrific speculation on the Nicola Bulley case.

I read about this a few days ago. I thought the amount of news coverage on Nichola Bulley was way way over the top. Seems fairly likely what has sadly happened here.

This is the third woman I've heard about recently who has gone missing near a river. I'm not insinuating anything but it's very worrying.

Wow, cannot believe there isn't more on this on MN? Have I just missed a massive thread? Look at the reels and reels of posts when Nicola Bulley was missing

I'm also confused as to why it's not gotten as much attention.

I think it's best this doesn't get the same coverage as the Nicola Bulley disappearance. As with Nicola, Victoria was last seen walking alone next to the river, her possessions were found by the river and the police don't have any evidence of foul play. The most obvious explanation is that she entered the water, even accidentally or deliberately, and without third party involvement. It should of course be a huge story locally, but I don't think it needs to be headline national news, or it will just turn into a circus like it did with Nicola.
