Anyone successfully managed to have a vegetarian McPlant burger with normal cheese and mayo? I really want to try it but there’s no options with online order changes from vegan options. I don’t want to drive down and go in store if it’s not possible.

This really irritates me too. Vegetarian food is usually made with vegetables ( agree about the beanburger in burger king) but vegan food in restaurants is often some form of 'fake' meat. And the cheese is revolting. Why are there so many meat options but they can't do one veggie and one vegan option?

I've asked for this too and it was a no. I'm also really sad that Burger King only do fake meat as vegetarian options now. I miss the original bean burger, although the replacement bean burger was better than the fake meat.

McDonald's Vegetable Deluxe used to be a lot better than it is now too.

Have I understood this right? The new beanburger that BK brought in has been discontinued? I only managed to have it once 😥. I loved the original one, the new one wasn't quite as good, but better than the fake meat ones.

It would make more sense to let people swap a burger for the meat free party. Less risk then of severe allergies contamination.

Well, that took an unexpected turn!
I also have a story about accidental meat, that blew up a bit.
I got meat pasties in cheese pasty packaging, once, many years ago. ExH had already eaten one, assuming it was Linda McCartney. But DS (then about 6) started complaining that he didn't like dog food pie.
The company just said 'If you're a real vegetarian, you'd think you'd know the difference between cheese and meat, by now (I'd been vege for 15 years, DS, all his life) and offered me a £1 voucher.
So, I called Trading Standards. They brought a case, and there were local reporters, radio and TV outside the courthouse. They were fined £12,000, in about 1999.
I ended up doing 2 radio interviews, with the Trading Standards officer, and then the local TV news called and asked for one, at home. I thought it'd be interesting for DS, so reluctantly said OK, but then they made me 'act', for one of those little 'fun' segments. They brought a box of the dog food pies, and I had to cook them, bring them out of the oven, glare at them, throw them in the bin and get something else out, and smile at it. It couldn't be branded, so I ended up chopping a pineapple. I felt like such a twat 😳
I've no idea where the money went - I didn't get any of it!
