Gift Idea for mum whose daughters are going travelling?

Hi
My sisters twin daughters have announced that when they finish uni they’re going backpacking around Asia
I’d really like to get her a gift for Xmas to acknowledge that that’s happening but the only idea I have is a three way necklace that they could all wear to be connected but I can’t imagine 21year olds think that’s cool.
Does anyone have any idea please?
TIA

Is she planning to meet them at any point in Asia? If so, some currency of that country.

Afternoon tea for them all before they leave.

(Not quite sure why you have to acknowledge it)

What about a Skylight photo frame, the dds can send photos directly to it via email (I believe, just double check that) so your friend could wake up to new photos of them.

Would it not make more sense of give a specific gift around this theme when they actually go?

A gift relating to her own hobbies or interests / a new hobby or interest might be better shout (assuming your post means their going away is a big deal for her).

Kindly OP, I don’t see why you have to acknowledge this in a gift? They’re going travelling - nothing sad or awful is happening!

Some Asian currency for the DDs is as far as I’d go. Presumably if they’ve been at uni then mum is used to them being away for long periods of time, this is no different
