So bloody fed up of broken nights

14 month old DD actually slept better as a newborn. I can’t pinpoint when but at some point in the last couple of months she wakes up twice overnight, and there isn’t enough time between wake up 1 and wake up 2 for me to go back to sleep so I’m generally up 12-3. Then up at 6.

So. Bloody. Tired.

She also fights naps and sleep literally, squirming and writhing and thrashing around. Must be a developmental stage but it’s exhausting and draining.

And DH is away all next week so I have to do it completely solo 😩😩

What happens of you just let her thrash and grumble on her own, and dont interveen?

Just gets hysterical - gets really distressed. Probably will have to do that eventually but feels horrible.

Is she on one nap during the day already? Maybe she needs to drop a nap. Have you checked if teeth are bothering her?

I also find it really hard to go back to sleep after night wakeups, especially the ones in the early part of the night. So frustrating! I sometimes take melatonin to help me get back to sleep. It only has a short term effect so doesn’t make you sleepy if you need to get up again.
