What is the biggest payrise you have ever asked for?

What is the biggest pay increase you have ever requested and did you get it?

It is almost PRD season and I want to ask for 17%, there are reasons behind that figure, not plucked out of thin air. I have never really asked for a rise before. I have had pay increases but always lead by my boss and I have gratefully accepted.

I have never actually asked for a pay rise, however I was in a 6 month work placement when I couldn't find a job after leaving university and when my 6 months were up they offered me a full time position. I asked what it paid and when they told me I said it wasn't enough. They asked me what I needed, I told them, that is what I got. (It wasn't very much - but enough so I didn't need to top it up with benefits.)
