Any idea what this rash is on DS?

He's 18. Felt poorly and few days, cold type thing, just discovered this on both hips.

No way I'll be able to get a Dr's appointment for today 😞

Looks like a standard viral rash, which would make sense if he has a cold.

Thankyou. I have health anxiety so always need reassurance.

Could it be hives? I've given him a antihistamine just in case.

It looks a bit like hives to me.
My DD had something similar break out on her hips when she was little, the doctor didn’t know what it was, said to leave it a few days and see if it fades, which it did. It never came back.

Yes sorry, to clarify viral infections are a known trigger for hives.

Hi it definitely looks like hives to me. Giving an antihistamine was a good idea. Obviously if it gets worse or he has other symptoms go get it looked at by a doctor. Xx

Hives are often present with Covid.
