Hair loss in 3 month old

Is this normal…? I thought it was due to moving head when sleeping but DH made a comment earlier and now I’m less sure.

The last time I believed Doctor Google, my baby got really sick before I finally took them to A&E, so am trying to be vigilant- is this worth seeing the GP?

No, this happens to lots of babies. It's normal.

UnravellingTheWorld · 13/09/2024 19:55

Yes, totally normal. Babies lose their newborn hair and it's replaced with permanent, usually fairer hair

They do look a bit odd for a while though!

It’s normal. They lose their newborn fuss and then grow more hair.

some babies have a full head of hair that falls out and then look bald.

Totally normal. My baby was born with a mop of dark hair, went bald and then it grew back fair. You really have nothing to worry about, most babies go through this phase

That's totally normal. My mother was horrified when picking my baby brother up at a bit younger than yours, he left his hair behind on his pillow (I think the thicker and darker it is at birth, more chance of this happening) They'll grow new hair, honestly

ItWasOnAStarryNight · 13/09/2024 20:05

Mine lost his eyebrows too 🤣

Monket · 13/09/2024 20:29

Ahahaha, left his hair behind, that cracked me up.

Okay, thanks all, that’s reassuring. I was pretty sure, but you never know…

Lovely baby @Monket even with bald bits.
