Best pillow ever?

bestsleepever · 09/09/2024 19:44

I recently spent a night at the Disneyland hotel in Paris and the bed was incredible. The pillows felt like sleeping on a cloud, they were so thick but soft and I felt like I just melted into them.
I then came home to my flat-as-a-pancake pillows and I want to cry sad tears. I want huge hotel pillows!
Google has not been my friend in finding the pillows the hotel had, but I did find the ones used in the Californian resorts however they do not ship to the UK.
So wise mumsnetters, what are you recommendations for the best pillows ever? No budget. Help a girl get a cloud like sleep again :)

Tempur cloud pillow. Amazing.

TheHullabaloo · 09/09/2024 19:50

Watching because I have bought, no exaggeration, 10 pillows over the past few years, and I'm not happy with any of them! Means guests get a great choice. I want one just how you've described, thick but really soft.

I have the Tempur cloud and it's amazing.

Simba hybrid, much prefer this to the Tempur one.

Me too!

Martian made hotel pillows - daft brand name, very good pillows. They’ll even send you extra filling if you decide it’s not quite as firm as you’d like.

Bookmarking. Our house is like a mausoleum of cast-off pillows (mine). I'm a side sleeper and everything is either too high or too low.

TheVeryHungryTortoise · 09/09/2024 20:21

I've had my soak and sleep soft as down pillows for about 5 years now and still love them! I can't do feather/down due to allergies but these have a similar texture and feel very luxurious.

I'd recommend panda memory foam. A good one for back sleepers.

However, I have real difficulty sleeping so I have a few pillows, including a long body pillow for my knees. Those include goose feather pillows, shredded memory foam, and a hybrid shredded memory foam and hollow fibre (the body pillow).

I would second this.

I've just bought some really lovely duck down pillows from Dunelm. I tried to make myself move my tempur pillows but had to accept that, apart from my tempur mattress, they are probably the most hideously uncomfortable bedding known to man. I hate my mattress with a vengeance but with the price I paid for it, I can't afford to replace it.

Sheelanogig · 09/09/2024 20:31

I am.also looking for the holy grail of pillows.

Currently on Soak and Sleep and liking it (but still happy to upgrade to anything better).

bestsleepever · 09/09/2024 21:38

Currently on soak and sleep sight, wondering about the 100% Canadian goose down pillows - £304 for a pair must mean the most comfortable pillow on the world right?
Will probably be sensible and buy the microfibre ones though.

Another vote for a dunlop pillow. I love mine, even take it away with me!

VestPantsandSocks · 09/09/2024 22:16

Premier Inn pillows or Marriott Hotel pillows are fab!

Goatblu · 09/09/2024 22:19

Tempur here too. Perfect.

motleymop · 09/09/2024 22:23

Email the hotel and ask. I did that once about a mattress and they told me.

Another vote for Tempur Cloud. Took a while to get used to it but love it now. Goes on holiday with me!

Same here. I just cannot get one I like - one that's soft but high enough. Spent an absolute fortune on pillows.

I have spent a fortune on pillows over the years, all the really expensive brands and I still have neck ache.

Please do let us know if you find out as I'm very keen to try this pillow. If nothing else I can just add it to my huge collection.....

The Wool Room and then buy extra filling.

WildWildWestCoast · 09/09/2024 22:35

@CarterBeatsTheDevil as another side sleeper, I'd highly recommend the Woolroom deluxe wool pillow that you can add filling to. I find it perfect just as I bought it but you can adjust it to suit you. It's not cheap, but I'll never use another pillow again.

OneMoreTimeBaby · 09/09/2024 22:36

Relyon Superior Comfort Latex Pillow - we've had these for 18 months and they are the best we've had, £99 each but worth every penny!
