When did your sons' feet stop growing/grow the most?

DS is 12 and a bit. He's size 6. I come from quite a big/tall family but my husband comes from quite a small family and has size 8 feet. DS has always been on the little side and is still below average in height. Are his feet big for a small 12 year old? Is this a sign that he might be taller than DH and I? When did your sons' feet stop growing?

DS hit size 10 at 14, and stopped. He's 5'11".

Ds is 12 and has size 9 or 10 (depending on big or small fit eg Nike trainers needs a 10). He’s definitely got fairly big feet! He’s 5’3”. I’d say 6 is about average looking at his friends feet.

Ds is 17, 5ft 10in and takes an 8. His feet and height are still growing but slowly. His dad is slightly taller and takes an 8. I'm only just over 5ft and take a 6 so I don't think feet and height necessarily go together.

I think size 6 for a 12 year old is fairly normal. Both mine hit size 6 before leaving primary school. One is 6ft 2 as a 17 year old the other is smaller 14 now and predicted final height only 5ft 8.

Yes, 6 is average but he's always been below average. If he reached average adult height I think he would be happy!

My son turned 12 in July. He went up 2 sizes during year 7 and is now a size 7. He's around 5'3. At a recent hospital appointment, they said he was in the 90th centile for height.

My 11 year old is a 3. He seems to be around average height compared to the other year 7s. His older brother is 15 and although he is growing taller, his feet seem to have slowed down alot. I have been wondering the same thing about when their feet stop growing.

Oddly we're both from very short families but DS has just turned 13, is 5'7" and has size 10 1/2 feet.

He seems like a giant at home but at school he's fairly average at the moment but not sure if he will grow much more.

He has always had big feet for his size, like a puppy, but during year 6 and 7 he needed new school shoes at least once a term and sometimes more, it cost a fortune.

I'd say size 6 at age 12 is quite small really, I'm not sure if it predicts much at the moment though, he could still have a massive growth spurt at any point over the next few years.

DS is 13, 5ft 7 and about size 9 feet, it's hard to judge as in trainers he has to larger as he has such wide feet. He has always been over 90th centile for weight and height since he was a baby.

I have 2 sons and they grew the most between 13 - 16.

There is no correlation between foot size and height. DS is still shorter (by 4 inches) than DH, but his feet are now bigger. He may overtake DH in height, but at almost 18, it’s a long shot.

My 12 year old went rather quickly from a size 5 up to an 11 in about a year possibly less, the year he shot up in height by about 5-6 inches - he's now 12 and has been a size 11 for about 6 months ... he keeps growing taller

Just before the big teenage growth spurt, so at about age 13 for all three of my boys.

They all had a stage when their size 10 feet looked much too big for them.

My ds is 14, 6'1" and 9.5. I think he is still growing but I hope it stops soon. His size 9's have lasted a year though.

My 12 year old is a size 4, but he's also not grown much or shown many signs of puberty, so expect he's due his growth spurt any time now.

My ds is nearly 16 and his feet stopped when he was about 14.5 thank god because he is a size 11 and 6ft. Hasn't grown for ages now but could do with filling out a bit!

My ds started high school in men's size 7 shoes, his prom shoes were a size 14! He is 6'4 though so his feet don't look too ridiculous on him 🤣

DS went from a size 8 to a size 13 between ages 12 to 15.

DS is 14 and shoe size 12-12.5. I haven't had to buy him a pair of shoes for 9 months now, so hoping he's stopped growing so rapidly. He's 6'2.

My son is nearly 13. Size 6 feet . Small for his age, perhaps 5 foot now . I am tall , 6.5 feet , DH smallish , size 7 feet.
Looking at his friends , his feet are small.

I’m expect a growth spurt and am anticipating that DS will wear my trainers and wellies soon for around 6 months before outgrowing them

Our family range from over six foot to under 3, (dwarfism,) and Ds, at 11, is a size 7. Feeling quite comforted by the comments that feet seem to stop in the early teens.

DS had his growth spurt at 14 and was size 10 which he stayed at. My nephew though was small all through secondary school and shot up in height at about 16 to about 6ft, don't know about his feet though

About 14 for both of mine. Height wise they had their growth spurts quite late, but feet still stopped growing.

Same here! My son is 13 yrs old, and is in size 11. Show size hasn’t changed for some time. He is around 5’10”, but still growing .
