Bidet - game changer

After coming back from Japan for a work trip and only using bidets (or bum gun as my co worker so eloquently put it) I’ve realised how amazing they are. I was very sceptical at first and was thinking there is no way I would like using one. But I was pleasantly surprised and have never felt so clean down there after using the loo. I spoke to a plumber about getting one installed in my bathroom and he said it was illegal in England as something to do with the inlet and out let of water needs to go through a separate tank. The cost to do all this is apparently ridiculous. Alas i will have to have to use loo roll and long for the days when bidets become common enough here that I can feel like a queen after using the toilet.

Bidet use disrupts vaginal microflora, significantly increasing risk of BV. Lots of papers on it. Personally, I wouldn't use one after discovering this; at least not frequently. I would never use a public washlet, the nozzle harbours all sorts of nasties. Papers on that too.

Interesting...but... Rinsing your rear doesn't get anywhere near your vag? At least not with the very precise Turkish type loos I've got my eye on....? I mean douching into the vagina l, I know is a bad idea, but umm surrounding areas? Like you'd clean yourself in the shower anyway?
And having a shataf type thing in your private bathroom isn't quite the same as a public one?
