Anyone awake?

I'm awake again, though I did fall asleep at 9. Currently sat in a premierinn as I'm away for work. Not even the extremely comfortable mattress is letting me go back to sleep.

I'm up

Getting married on Saturday, been up by 230-3am every day for about 3 weeks now.

Add to that I'm 5 days late on my period and I haven't had a bowel movement since last Friday. I took 2 laxatives last night in the hope they kick in!

I’m awake. My mum suddenly took very unwell yesterday and I’ve been by her side in hospital.
Ive not eaten much in near 24 hours but since I saw the word hash browns I’d really love a couple 🤣

Stressedgiraffe · 05/09/2024 04:48

Since I've been up since 2 I'm now actually really hungry. So will be eating a cooked breakfast. Thinking scrambled eggs bacon mushroom and hash brown. Might even have a yogurt and croissants too

Im up. Been up since 4am. Should have been in a premier Inn all this week but my stupid bipolar decided to make a reappearance, so cancelled this week, had Mon and Tues off and working gently from home on a project for the rest of the week whilst my meds work their magic.

Years ago, I used to love a premier inn breakfast now I've seen so many of them they turn me off. Same as the menus. When you've stayed at one so often you get to know the menus off by heart lol. Saying that years ago I used to stay at a hotel- toby inn (are they still going?) and the chef used to make my fav meal even when it wasn't on the menu. It was like roast potatoes in a cheese sauce with a cheese crumb. Yum!

Slept until 4.30am, been up at 2am last two consecutive nights.
I once got bitten to death by bed bugs in a premier inn based in London, can’t recall the name of it.
Hash browns sound lovely.

I’ll be getting up soon, heading to the office for 7, so will spend some time sorting dog, showering, cuppa and heading off. DH is wfh so dog won’t be alone.

@glitches78 sorry to hear that. Which medication do you take? I take aripiprazole.
I'm early in my travelling but I'm sure I'll be sick of the premierinn soon.
Stayed in a travelodge last week that was awful

I've been up - taken ds training and home again!!!!

I'd love a premier inn breakfast Grin

Sadly I'm getting whatever I make before heading off to work. At least I can take my own lunch and dinner will be whatever I take to training this evening!

If you're struggling to sleep could you go for a walk before dinner? Is there time?

I find if I walk too late I can't sleep because it releases some sort of adrenaline but I'm alright if I do it before I eat.

Stressedgiraffe · 05/09/2024 07:06

Well I had bacon, scrambled eggs and mushroom and a blueberry muffin.
Off to work soon.
Thanks all for keeping me company

Hope all is well Flowers and you find some food.
I then slept until 9am.
Fortunately a quiet work day with no meetings- I’ll continue with the project I started and show the time stamped emails and documents from 2-4 if anyone picks me up (they won’t!)

I slept surprisingly well for me, otherwise I would have been on this thread!

Lamelie · 05/09/2024 22:48

About to board an overnight bus. 🤞 last nights shocker will stand me in good stead.
Sleep well everyone Brew

CalicoPusscat · 05/09/2024 23:01

Do you find it easy to sleep on buses @Lamelie?

Tired but awake here, it has been raining ALL day

Lamelie · 05/09/2024 23:26

@CalicoPusscat I’ve not taken a long bus in years, but I’m ok at sleeping on trains, cars and planes. I do London- Scotland very regularly, either driving, flying or by train so I thought it’s worth trying. Not great so far, an hour delayed, very bright, but having had so little sleep last night I’m hopeful…

Lamelie · 05/09/2024 23:26

The rain in London was epic- proper monsoon, shame we didn’t have a summer before it!
