Gorgeous shower gel recommendations please

Can you suggest some inexpensive (pref under £15) gorgeously scented shower gel please? I fancy some. I like woody, fruity (not sickly) nutty (almondy) and flowery scents, dislike metallic or harsh scents. Thanks

Question: the l'occitane almond oil one; does it foam up? The 'oil' bit is a worry.

in my mind it’s not a shower gel and i don’t find its that foamy. I use it after shower gel as a skin moisturiser.

Thank you Smile

I like a nice foamy one because i use it on scrubby mits. If it's not thick and foamy the mits are too scratchy!

I'm enjoying this thread! Thanks OP.

I think i'd like to try the butterfly one from Next. Sounds lovely.

I second the marks range. You can get the body spray in the same scent. Glad to hear I can get a refill!

Ooh, is it anything like Sea Kelp by the Scottish Soap Company?
Both me and my mum loves sea scents.

I had a look at the ingredients this morning and it's lavender, sea kelp, aloe vera and peppermint. It's really nice and zingy.

aaaaaaaand i've bought the Heavenly Ginger Lily, Moulton Brown

25 squid I hope it's nice !

You know, i stay off the Style and Beauty board because it always ends up costing me ... now it's happening in chat 😂

My Korres shower gel arrived today, it's a lovely premium product and nice scent but quite slight fragrance so I think I'll keep it for Christmas stocking gifts, and consider one of the others on here. I want quite a definite fragrance that I can enjoy post-shower

Interesting OP.
I'll let you know how MB Ginger Lily smells when it turns up tomorrow.

Meadowwild · 02/09/2024 15:07

I've been using the Origins Ginger body wash. The scent stays, especially if you layer it with the moisturising cream. Perfect for heading into autumn.

I want to try some of those M&S ones. I bought them as stocking fillers for other people last year.

darksideofthestudio · 02/09/2024 21:47

MB Heavenly Gingerlily is my all time favourite, but I also love the Rituals range. Currently using Sanctuary Spa Lily and Rose range and haven’t tired of it yet! Just added the wet skin miracle moisturiser to my collection and am really impressed

My MB Heavenly Gingerlily has just arrived and it's gorgeous 😍

I've sniffed it in the bottle and put a teeny blob on my hand and now i can smell it as i waft about starting the dinner - and remembered i said i'd update the thread.

Looking forward to a shower with it later !🤗

If anyone is in France Yves Rocher do a gorgeous Rasberry and Mint, Framboise et Menthe, for less than 9€.
My current favourite.

Yves Rocher !! There's a blast from the past.

I used to get their stuff mail order with a little catalogue like Avon YEARS ago. I felt really grown up ordering a bit of face cream and some perfume using my Sat job money. I was only about 16/17.

WeMeetInFairIthilien · 03/09/2024 21:43

Yes!!

Yves Rocher!

I used to adore their peach shower gel, it smelt exactly like biting into a fresh peach tasted.

Cheerfulcharlie · 03/09/2024 21:45

l'occitane cherry blossom

CorneliaStreet · 03/09/2024 22:06

If you want strongly scented, Bath & Body Works is a good option. I love Pink Pineapple Sunrise. The whole house smells of it for hours!

snowlady4 · 03/09/2024 22:11

I like rituals, namaste.
I did notice the other day, waitrose has some espa products, which I love, but not sure if they are the exact same as you woukd get in a hotel/spa- they probably are.

Sladuf · 04/09/2024 00:35

Realized today I have a Korres shower gel ordered recently. Hadn’t paid attention to the brand name - mainly bought as liked the sound of a bergamot and pear scent. It’s nice. Could have a bit more bergamot but it’s decent. Might check out some of their others.

Have seen a few Champneys products recommended. With Christmas coming up, check the dreaded (I was slagging them off in another thread) Boots for Champneys for men gift sets. Have bought a few the last few years. The scent of the “active” range for men (dark green and white packaging) is very nice. They do a hair and body wash. It’s meant to be oud, orange, ginger, cardamom, vanilla and musk notes. Although aimed at men I think it works for all. Just a really nice fragrance.

Well i had my shower last night with my new Molton Brown and it's very very nice. Too nice! I won't want to go back to my usual one. Tiny blob all you need and the smell .... 😍

I could smell it on my skin until bed time.
(i promise i don't work for them 😂)

Clean On Me by Soap & Glory smells absolutely divine, and a little goes a long way.

CatteryCat · 05/09/2024 06:24

There are Sol de Janerio body wash dupes in Home Bargains for £3. They are lovely! Also, the Sanctuary Spa shower oil is incredible. I much prefer it over the L’Occitane one, it smells divine!

SuePreemly · 15/09/2024 21:14

Have a look at some french makes. Le Petit Marseillais Lait (milk) is delicious, as are the cherry blossom and other ones. If you're in France they're cheap as chips but you can get them for a few pounds online.
