Cherish every moment, they grow up in the blink of an eye blah blah yeah whatever.

For me it's not having to go swimming with them. I hate it so much. I don't like swimming anyway and then add clambering on me, splashing me in the face and then getting changed after, wet hair, wet clothes. On holiday I took them every day. We're staying in a hotel right now and there's a pool so it's bloody swimming again. DD is 8 and can swim alone. DS is 6 so another couple of years until I can just watch from the sidelines. I can't fucking wait.

Not having to wipe an arse that isn't my own....Three year old is toilet trained but just can't quite reach far enough yet to wipe his own backside proficiently.

Being done with twin toddler tantrums!

Being able to decide to take a walk down to pub with dp, spontaneously without pre-arranging childcare.

I know it is a cliche about cherishing these moments but it is so true. The days are long and the years are way too short.
I've just taken my baby (!)back to uni despite the fact that term doesn't start until late September. He'd just much rather be there with his girlfriend and mates than with his parents.

It's exactly how it should be but oh my god I'd give anything to go back in time and and be holding wet wriggly toddlers in a swimming pool or pushing a swing or reading the same picture book for the 109th time....

As it is...I'm looking forward to grandchildren!
