Is my haircut straight??

Much needed hair cut today, asked my dd to take a photo and I believe it's not straight.
The more I look the more uncertain I am, it was cut by the salons 'director' so looking for second opinions before I call them tomorrow

Is my haircut straight??

It doesn't look straight to me. It's got very choppy ends, like she struggled to correct it.

Citygirl17 · 30/08/2024 02:33

No, it's back to the salon, I'm afraid. Looks like maybe they were trying to do a curve shape, but even that isn't smooth. Certainly not straight, if that's what you asked for.

MorrisseyGladioli · 30/08/2024 02:34

The right side looks longer to me.

Thanks both, it was curled In the salon so I didn't notice until I was home and straightened it

Definitely not

TwinklyNight · 30/08/2024 03:01

No, it is choppy and uneven.

Theleaveswillbefalling · 30/08/2024 04:14

I would say my lockdown attempts on the DDs were better.

Imanontoday · 30/08/2024 06:55

I’d say no, but your head isn’t straight either, it’s clearly tilted to the right, making that side look longer, you need to position uour head straight and retake the image.

This - your left shoulder is significantly higher than your right which makes it difficult to tell.

Ah always a sign! I always tell them I like it dried straight or "tousled" a bit.

Doingmybest12 · 30/08/2024 06:59

I'd say your left shoulder is raised but the overall look is choppy and poorly executed.

Olika · 30/08/2024 06:59

It's not straight and I would be going back as they cut it really bad.

MushMonster · 30/08/2024 07:04

It does not look straight to me either.

Sunshineonarainyday111 · 30/08/2024 07:08

Your left shoulder is slightly higher, however, even if you put your shoulders exactly straight, you can tell the right hand side of your hair will still be longer.

Also, if you look closely at the middle section, you can see longer wisps of hair going over the bottom, which shows your hairdresser (I was a hairdresser too) hasn't finished the sections properly.
You're going to need about an extra inch off at least to even it out. I'd probably get someone else to sort it at the salon, but if you decide to go elsewhere instead, then you should ask for a refund.
The hairdresser was hoping that the curls would disguise her poor hair cutting ability.

hockityponktas · 30/08/2024 07:08

No sorry OP that doesn’t look like a very good haircut at all, it’s very uneven. I think you should go back or go to different salon to get it corrected.

Sunshineonarainyday111 · 30/08/2024 07:13

I meant to add, don't be fobbed off with the lame excuse that you must've been sitting at an angle or whatever, it's your hairdresser's job to ensure you're sitting straight whilst she's cutting your hair.

Bringbackthedodo · 30/08/2024 07:17

It's a really bad cut. I hope you didn't pay for it

What a silly comment, of course she paid, what do you think they are handing out freebies?

Clearinguptheclutter · 30/08/2024 08:20

Difficult to tell as you’re not standing straight but as pp said it looks in the middle like some wispy strands got left behind in the cut

def go back and tell us what they say!

NeverDropYourMooncup · 30/08/2024 08:28

It does look uneven - but have you ever been investigated for scoliosis? It's not just your shoulders that appear very asymmetric.

It might have contributed towards the cut becoming uneven if she was using the same points of reference on both sides.

BeMintBee · 30/08/2024 08:33

Terrible cut! You can see in the middle a few strands that have been missed. You have similar texture and thickness to my hair and a blunt, straight cut never looks good, even straight. You need a better hairdresser!
