To bother with a (UK) break for October half term?

Can't decide whether or not to book our usual cottage (SE coast) for a week in October.

We've been the past 3 years and have been lucky with good weather but half term is a week later this year so the clocks would have changed and I imagine the weather would have turned by then.

So do we take a chance or not? Anyone else bother with UK breaks in October?

To be fair the country is already pretty fucked but appreciate the sentiment.

Not sure what Starmer's got to do with your holiday 😆 but I'd say go. Just have some cold/wet weather contingency plans and you'll be fine!

Depends on what you want to do- if your planning to spend a lot of time on the beach maybe not but we have had some lovely UK holidays in less pleasant weather.

It's quite a beach based / coastal walk location so pretty miserable in utter crap weather.

Half term is usually the 3rd week of October and we've had such good fortune the past few years (so we're probably due a really crappy, wet week 😀)

I think I would be inclined to look for a location with more to do if the weather is bad
