Skelton, Saltburn by the sea

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone lives around the Skelton by the sea area ? and if they would recommend it as a good area to live.
Any advise would be useful for us as we are retired and its going to be a big step for us.

It's like anywhere, some good areas and some really not so good. It's split in to different parts so there's new skelton and skelton green. It's also not actually on the sea! Saltburn is nice but bit more expensive depending on where you choose. Why skelton? What were you hoping for in terms of amenities and activities etc?

I was very pleased to get such a quick reply, so thank you.
We have visited Saltburn often and would like to live near to it and thought Skelton looked very close.
Also, we have had a look around Skelton area but its not the same as living there so any advise is welcome.
As we have a dog too and thought the beach and dog walking areas near by would be very handy.

Hi there’s also North Skelton, all part of an area referred to as East Cleveland. The area is a mix of new builds, housing association, terraces and lovley stone cottages on the high street. It’s a mixed bag in terms of properties and people tbh. Where are you moving from and what is your budget? I’m sure if you posted links of what you like etc a few of us would be able to advise about the area etc
