Booked tickets when I don't have a box

So I'm off to Chessington tomorrow and I've booked cheap(er) tickets using the Rice Krispies bar things link online.

The one with the cereal needs a code for the ticket and you have to bring it with you when you enter.

These ones don't.
Am I going to show up and they insist on packaging? I can't even eat them so I don't really want them but if need be I'll go out and hunt down a few boxes.

Has any one been recently and not needed to present the box?
Does this make any sense Blush

They aren't the standard T&C's that I've screenshotted. They are the ones they sent me when I purchased my ticket.

But yes worse case scenario I'll pay the extra.
I only used it because I was meant to get a different discount which they randomly decided I couldn't use this week.

Yep, you will need the voucher. Surprised anyone thinks you wouldn't need it tbh.

Are there no boxes on the shelves still available that you can go and buy? Several years ago Seabrooks crisps had a 2 for 1 voucher for certain attractions, and even a month after they were valid the packets were still available.

Yes, that's the standard T&Cs for a Chessington ticket.

The offer T&Cs are here, which say you must take the packaging: https://www.kelloggs.co.uk/content/dam/europe/kelloggs_gb/pdf/KELLOGGS%20FULL%20TERMS%20AND%20CONDITIONS%202024.pdf

Don't forget it's bank holiday weekend coming up. So offers may not be valid.

SJM1988 · 22/08/2024 11:31

We used the cadbury offer earlier in the summer. I took the packaging as it said to when you booked but noone checked.

britneyisfree · 22/08/2024 11:07

Yes that's why I asked the question. It's not in the T&C's so I hoped it might not be enforceable

If you clicked through a link like otherstories posted you've already been told that term and condition very obviously before booking. They make it prominent and put that notice before you book so people can't claim they weren't aware of the terms of the offer when they booked. You might get lucky and they won't check, but if it said it before you booked you really can't claim you weren't aware.

So you ticked you had a voucher, didn’t have a voucher, got the discount because you declared you had the voucher, and are now saying it’s not clear enough in the fine print to present the voucher, so you can still have the discount….. oh boy!!

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 22/08/2024 11:39

Can't you just buy a packet of whatever it is you said you'd bought to get the voucher? Is the offer still running?

Yeah, I'm going to more shops this afternoon. Just wondering what happens if I can't find it.

I have one possibly being delivered in an hour - just have to see if it's on there.

Very true. Also the terms and conditions don't say I need it

That's fine, then?

PfishFood · 22/08/2024 11:53

Off topic, but I find the ticket prices buying direct, in advance, are very rarely much different from any special offers. Gone are the days when they were £25 a ticket and your BOGOF voucher would get two people in for £25.

Nowadays it's BOGOF on the full face value of entry on the day (£66) or buy in advance for between £29 - £37 depending on the day.

Incidentally, last time we went I realised that the prices on their app are different from the prices on their website! For example, on their app I can buy tickets for tomorrow for £36, but they're £34 online. Or I could buy them for today for £34 on the app, but they're £37 online!

Finally, I nearly used a Carex voucher before, but it also said you had to bring the item. At least a cereal box you can cut out. There was no way I was carrying round a half used bottle of soap! 😅

It’s enforceable because it’s right there as a condition for booking.

@SneakerShoulders because legally everything comes down the fine print. They mention it for cereal boxes in the fine print and not these.

I'm just looking for others with experience of going not a hard time. I've been to three shops today looking.

You are using the small print from chessington, you need the terms for the actual discount you used. Its clear.

Moltenpink · 22/08/2024 19:43

Hi @britneyisfree I’ve just seen someone post a similar situation on my local Facebook group and three people replied with vouchers for her, might be an idea? Also people were advising her they can be found on curly wurly packs and carex hand wash. Hope this helps

britneyisfree · 23/08/2024 11:13

Update: I got one but they didn't ask anyway. Thanks for your help!
