Londoners, please help me make plan an easy route to Stratford!

Due to take Elderly, disabled DM to the ABBA Voyage show on Saturday. She's able to walk but not for too long.
Looking at driving half way or 3/4 and getting public transport for the rest. I'm not a hugely confident driver so hoping to park slightly outer London then (hopefully) jump on a tube / train for the final part.
We live in Esher, Surrey.
Could driving to Wimbledon / Kingston / Morden help? Or would I need to go further in into London?
Trainline and Google are making it seem very complicated!

Could you drive as far east as Lewisham and then you could get the overground all the way direct to Pudding Mill Lane which is bang opposite the arena?

Wimblefon etc to the arena is a long way with quite long changes needed on pt

Enjoy! it’s such a laugh

You could do Kingston/Richmond to Waterloo, then Jubilee line to Stratford and then taxi to Abba Voyage.

Or Richmond - Stratford on London Overground and taxi to Abba Voyage. Not sure how reliable this line is, though.

Just drive there, it’s Saturday so no rush hour.

You can park at Westfield then I assume get a bus or there might be parking closer.

Boymum2104 · 04/08/2024 21:23

Parking at Westfield Stratford would be your best bet I'd say

Park at Westfield Stratford or Canary Wharf, which is much quieter, and get the DLR to Pudding Mill Lane

viccat · 04/08/2024 21:28

You could take the Elizabeth line to Stratford.

Diggersandunicorns · 04/08/2024 21:30

It’s a very easy drive from Surrey to Stratford, you wouldn’t have to do proper London driving to park at Westfield.

SisterAgatha · 04/08/2024 21:33

Parking is so easy, you can register an account with Westfield so can just drive straight in and out with the barrier opening when you arrive/leave, it just debits your account without you doing a thing.

There’s a direct overground train from Richmond to Stratford which will take around an hour

someoneanyoneeveryone · 04/08/2024 21:46

Or get overground train to Waterloo from Esher and go from there to Stratford via Jubilee line in the London Underground (that’s best route on train line and takes about 1hr 18- avoids parking charges and driving if you can get taxis at either end instead.

(you’ll probably have a fair bit of walking at Waterloo to change though so best choice to reduce total walking is to go from Richmond or Clapham junction and take the direct overground to Stratford)
