Hi all
New to this so don't really understand the abbreviations 😬.
I just wanted some advice, I have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia at a recent rheumetology appointment. My main symptoms are pain everywhere and also burning in my arms chest and back which is apparently nerves playing havoc and if i eat certain foods when having a flare i burn up and have a reaction. does anyone else get this? I have been referred back to my GP for a treatment plan. What should I expect from this please. Tia

Thanks for all the advice, I have an appointment on Tuesday with the gp regarding a pain management program apparently they have groups that teach you with coping strategies and techniques. I have also order some magnesium oil to try too.

I went to a pain management course. It was for 3 hours every Thursday afternoon for 12 weeks. It was very intense. They go through different approaches to pain physiological pathways of flight and fight, psychological reasons for pain, coping strategies, distraction, and not overdoing things so spreading out any planned task. Also building up fitness very gradually, asking for support instead of soldering on. We did lots of little scenarios and group work. We were all there for pain but different reasons. We had to go back 4 months after course ended and report if we felt we had more control over our pain.

We also had to learn Tai Chi and various breathing exercises.
