BBQs - love or hate?

Family coming over today so we’re doing a BBQ.
For us, it’s the easy option, there’s something for everyone, and people can eat as and when they’re hungry.
Husband has marinated all the meat and made his salads (potato and pasta).
I will make a Greek salad, a fruit salad and a pavlova later.

What are your must haves for a BBQ? (Hoping to get inspiration as still need to go to the supermarket)

Do people really get pissed off with the smell of other people's bbqs?

I love walking up my street on a sunny evening and smelling them! 😅

Every day is a school day I guess.

@Whatineed one neighbour tried to persuade us that the law meant we had to move our BBQ to the bottom of our garden. We told her it doesn’t and comprised on moving it to the other side of our garden 😁.

I love a (good) BBQ. Dh is brilliant at them. Lots of home-made and home-marinated stuff. I do the sides, most important being coleslaw.
