Slippers and slipping on smooth, hard surfaces

Can anyone suggest a way to stop slippers from slipping on smooth, hard floors? Various parts of the floor in my house have hard tiles and I just know that one day I'm going to come a cropper while walking in my slippers, I've had a few near misses from time to time and I'd prefer to avoid bruises or worse.

Visually my slippers appear to have a good zig zag grip yet they slip and slide everywhere.

Is there perhaps a spray on coating that can be applied to prevent slippage? Or does anyone with experience of this have any other suggestions?

Buy and wear slippers with a proper rubber sole.

So my cheapo Amazon slippers are a no go then? :)

Any recommendations on where to buy quality slippers with rubber soles?

I have comfy shoes and boots that are my slippers, reserved for indoor use only. They are more comfortable, grippy and supportive than slippers.

That's not a bad idea, thank you.
