Is a Babybjorn bouncer worth the splurge?

I’ve heard fab things but £200!!

We have very kindly had our pram and cotbed gifted though so theoretically could invest if it’s going to be a good purchase. What do you think?

They're £155 on amazon at the mo and worth every penny.

I had one with my 2nd and I can't tell you how much better it was than a bog standard baby bouncer. Loved it.

Thank you, didn’t think of Amazon

Yes.

We also loved it can go up to 2 years as doesn’t tip for height weight. Ds loved it as small baby, and again 1-2 years it converts to non strapped in toddler seta he would have milk in bed for bed when older.

and the folding function . We folded it almost every time it wasn’t in use and storage behind door to save space and not have living room full of baby stuff. Can go under sofa etc. and can fold to take in car if going to visit people

Definitely worth looking second hand - I got mine for £70 from vinted with the toy bar attachment. The cover is removable and machine washable too unlike a lot of other bouncers.

I had one for my first and he loved it.

My second hates it.

This. We have a Joie one at my in laws and it’s shite. Big difference in quality.

My kids loved it. Bought one for my niece and she loved hers too.
I bought them second hand on eBay and sold them on again for much the same as I paid for them. The washable covers are super helpful.

I got mine second hand for £50 and sold it for £40. Definitely better than other bouncers as the bounce gently rocks the baby just from their own motion. It's narrower than others so fitted in our tiny kitchen. And it folds flat so we took it away on holiday which was very helpful.

There aren’t many local on marketplace. The ones that can see by extending the search are selling for £100/120, so seems not much money lost even if you buy it at full price as you can always sell on?

I would rent one first. My first baby screamed on being put down in anything, so a £20 bouncer was as useful as a £120 bouncer as he hated them all.

My second baby was happy to be put down in a bouncer for 15 mins or so. We rented the Bjorn at ours while my parents had a second hand chicco. The Bjorn was better as it was more compact and easier to take away. It had a nicer ‘bounce’ than the chicco. But do I think it was worth 100 plus quid more? Probably not.

We rented from here. If you love it after a month you could commit and buy it: https://baboodle.co.uk/products/babybjorn-bouncer?variant=43547164541098
