Roll

According to MN loo is much preferable to saying 'toilet' [shudders]

Loo

We had an outside toilet in our first house complete with lots of spiders

The first house I was in as a child had an outside loo. It was shared with other flats too. There was no bath.

In our student digs we had a bath in the kitchen under a fold up kichen counter which was novel. We slept in a shoebox though and licked the road clean!

Mothership4two · 31/05/2024 18:51

Assume your were able to have your obligatory MN daily shower instead @AnneKipankitoo ? 😂

AnneKipankitoo · 31/05/2024 18:57

No. I was a baby .. a plastic bath.

Luxury!

I had twigged that you wouldn't have had a shower instead. M&D's first house with a shower was mid 80s. It's why the outrage in some of the MN shower threads tickles me as it's not that long ago that some of us were 'bathroom facilities challenged'!

Absolutely… Public Baths! The city I grew up in still had baths in the new swimming pool complex.
