Purple - American terms again? Do other people say these things ? I've no idea what one of them refers to .

Purple has an American slant. All four need another word before them, I think.

I actually found today's quite easy. I even knew the connection for purple before hitting submit, for a change. I am in Canada, though, so if others are saying that there's an American slant to purple, maybe that was to my advantage.
