Senegal - Would you go or have you been?

I posted on holidays but only got one reply so I hope some of you can help please.
I am thinking of booking for a week next Easter, I think it would be really different and interesting.

If you have been did you get jabs and/or take malaria tablets, would you go again, what were the highs and lows?
If you wouldn't go why?

I have very briefly been to Senegal, I spent overnight in a wildlife reserve so wouldn't be able to say what the main cities are like. The south of Senegal is said to be beautiful and hard to tear yourself away from. It's recommended to have malaria tablets and be vaccinated against yellow fever, typhoid among others.
