I think it will be hilarious, but what situations are a must happen?

Obviously going all the way upstairs to wash a plate

Swimming in the pool and then removing the ladder so they die

WooHooing

Speaking in Simlish will feature. And a constantly breaking toilet.

I'm surprised there is enough to make a film out to be honest. I used to love the Sims but don't know anyone who plays it now

stayathomer · 16/04/2024 22:08

I love that I heard her say she wants to do more films that get people as excited and bring them together as much as Barbie did. She’s a legend!

mitogoshi · 16/04/2024 22:11

Heard about a monopoly movie today ... recommend Richard Osman's podcast btw

Ignoring their cues to eat and insisting they can't move while standing right in front of the extremely clear route to the fridge, frantically waving their arms at the viewers, until their hunger gets so low, Grim appears.

Picking up their hungry toddler, placing them in a highchair, immediately taking them back out of the highchair onto the floor, then back into the highchair again, repeat x infinity.

When it's time for the Sim to go to work, stand there like a lemon doing absolutely nothing, while the hours tick by, the Sim is missing work, their boss is calling and and the viewers are feeling concerned by now and start shouting a few choice words at the screen.

Ah, I love the sims Grin

I know it's not real, it's just a game but I'd never get any enjoyment out of that.

I don't get much enjoyment out of it either, it's a glitch! Drives me round the bend

Ooo what about when there’s a fire, they stand there and panic rather than leave the house. Then they die

DD age 15 plays the Sims so I think it is still a popular game. I used to play it but mainly used to just build and decorate the houses rather than 'play' it!

ajlots · 17/04/2024 09:24

A sim has to die in a pool with the ladder taken out.

LongCareerOfNearMisses · 17/04/2024 09:37

I hope it's only her in the first half of the movie with no other Sims to interact with so the imaginary terrifying bunny friend appears and they have a "besties" imaginary activities montage. Give her an easel to paint a spooky clown too.

GrimDamnFanjo · 17/04/2024 09:43

Bella Goth!
I think the Townies back stories have potential too.

ajlots · 17/04/2024 09:49

@GrimDamnFanjo absolutely yes to the Goths! Plus Don Lothario. Oh and the Landgrabbs!

goingtohellinahandcart · 17/04/2024 09:52

One of my sims got in the shower, got out and preceeded to walk round naked with no.bluring. Must have been something left by the programmers that got triggered in the right circumstances 😁

popandchoc · 17/04/2024 09:53

Putting infant in cot and then taking out and leaving on floor outside.

goingtohellinahandcart · 17/04/2024 09:54

When they got so tired they would collapse where ever they were

FloofyBird · 17/04/2024 09:55

Lots of puddles of wee to tidy up

ISeeTheLight · 17/04/2024 10:02

Last year the Sims had 70 million players (the base game is free now which helps).

Anyway; hope they include the cowplant.

ajlots · 17/04/2024 10:08

I'm a fully grown adult with children and a professional corporate job but still love the sims Grin I've been playing since I was a young teenager!

A sim has to die in a pool with the ladder taken out.

This is what I was gonna say. Or trapped in a room with no door.

Soubriquet · 17/04/2024 10:17

My worst sim situation…..

a woman had new born twins. Her husband left her because he didn’t want kids. She fell into depression and kept crying. She refused to look after her babies. Every time I tried to make her, she would just cry. CPS took the babies away…..and she cried so much she died.

3wishDelish · 17/04/2024 10:33

Loved the sims but not enough to watch it as a movie. How would that even work?

ajlots · 17/04/2024 10:43

@3wishDelish the townie back stories I imagine, plus the whole Truman show angle, I think there are loads of ways they could take it tbh.

Soubriquet · 17/04/2024 11:38

If they can make a Barbie movie, they can make a Sims movie

OP posts:
BritishBeatleMania · 17/04/2024 11:41

Smell lines waving off them when they need a shower.

Death appearing and a gravestone in your garden

repeatedly painting the same thing to upgrade a skill

ChooksnChicks · 17/04/2024 11:42

I'm reading a book where one of the characters hears the narration from the book in her head, and she's realised she is a character in a novel, and it's driving her slowly mad.

That would be quite dark for the Sims, but potentially quite gripping! Margot's character is doing all the silly quirky Sims things and then slowly realises she's not fully in control of her life, and suspects she's a game character, but nobody else believes her....
