It’s definitely not cheating. I have done it occasionally at the fifth line when it ends in er. DH seems to do it a lot.

If you do it on another screen, is that so you don't use up your guesses? If so, that sounds like cheating!

Doing it on paper isn’t cheating , if you are submitting the guesses on another screen to filter out wrong guesses then that is definitely cheating . If everyone did that nobody would ever lose their streak .

Sometimes I do need to write it out, but if it's a case of [blank] I G H T, you just have to work through RIGHT, TIGHT, SIGHT, ......... and lots more. They're the frustrating ones, when you're so close bit still miss it 😭

Ah, no, I didn't submit tries to Wordle on another device, just typed them on a note making app. Still feels a bit of a cop out, though, tbh!

I don't think using pen and paper is cheating in any way. Like others, if there's a game where it's obvious there are going to be lots of possible answers, I will list the options. That helps me if I need to find an elimination word. I also sometimes jot down the letters like I do when doing an anagram in a crossword.
