Something not toooo time-consuming (so no hopping on a train or going to a gallery). Quite a lot of things happening in life, some daunting or even scary* so I'm rather tired but also lacking in energy to get up and do something. But doing something nice is always a boost mentally.

*I do have support so will be okay but naturally these events have an effect on me.

A bath with a face and hair mask and nice bath things. Curl up with a book for an hour. Have a hot chocolate if you like it with cream and marshmallows, go a nice walk if you can be bothered, watch your fave movie, eat your easter eggs, have a nap if you need one in clean bedding. If you're going out get new pj's, a candle you like, your fave snacks.

Bath with bubbles and a nice candle. Read (only if you enjoy that). Get into bed with new covers and watch a film that makes you happy.

Bunch of daffy and a quick raid of the Oxfam bookshop

It's a nice day (hopefully where you are too?) so I'd say buy a nice coffee and just sit in the park in the sun whilst sipping it. Just take that little bit of time out and let the sun warm you. I always find nature helps to de-stress.

I am planning a pot of tea all to myself in front of a Hitchcock film this afternoon. My reward for doing a dump run earlier 😁

mamakoukla · 01/04/2024 13:18

Go for a walk amongst trees
A cup of tea or coffee in the garden
Prepare a favourite food
Do something you enjoy eg reading

frozendaisy · 01/04/2024 13:19

An hour reading

HelloMiss · 01/04/2024 13:31

Something outdoors

A walk in a park you've not been to before
A bit of gardening
Walk round a garden centre?

CurlewKate · 01/04/2024 14:16

For me it's always outside. With a book and a mini bottle of wine if it's warm enough or a walk and a really good cup of coffee if it isn't.

This is a bit niche but I love a really good body scrub. Like a really scrubby one! It always makes
me feel better. If you get one which is oil based you also don’t need to moisturise afterwards.
