Been saving up / waiting to have enough money for this for years! Finally have enough through vouchers etc, want to buy the newest model as it has features I like, they’re sold out everywhere!!

Does anyone know why?!

They’re ace! We have used ours almost daily for nearly 15 years now and still going strong. For people saying ‘make it by hand’ there’s a lot to be said for the convenience of setting the timer and having it run overnight or while you’re out.

Mine worked perfectly for 15 years with frequent use then the blade stopped going round at the start of the first lockdown. I unscrewed the base and found it was simply that the rubber drive band had worn out. Ordered a new one online for under a pound and it has been faultless ever since.
Honestly, how many appliances will keep going like that these days? It was worth every penny of what seemed like a very extravagant £100.

This kind of info is exactly why I want one and why I’d rather try and get the exact brand/model I want - if I’m going to use it for 20 years!

I’m glad it’s helpful though I admit one reason I went for the top of the range was because I wanted one with a raisin dispenser and I have literally not used that for over a decade!

I have been using mine for twenty years, I bought it when I was pregnant with my first dc and she will be 21 this year. I use it at least four times a week.

@theusualwednesday your post before last made me laugh, well said.
I shouldn't be on this thread as I don't cook anything, let alone bread, but it's been a nice thread and quite informative
