Boots cut into my skin. Can I return?

Past the 30 days as didn’t wear them immediately. Don’t have receipt.
Boots have cut into my skin both legs. Correct size.
Have never had this before- would a major retailer tend to at least give a voucher?
Have photos of my skin and can still see the redness/ cuts.
Wondering if it’s worth taking them and seeing if they can give me a voucher
Thanks

Where did you buy them?

Muchtoomuchtodo · 15/02/2024 17:54

Have you worn them outdoors? If you have you definitely won’t get any sort of voucher

The trouble is with boots is that they fit everyone differently. People have different shape feet, heels, ankles, shins, calves. I think after 30 days you're not likely to get anywhere. I'd think they must have fitted too tight somewhere on you.

Are they leather? You could try a boot stretcher and some leather softener spray?

If you have no luck returning or with shoe stretcher you could sell on Vinted.

I took my DDs DM boots back as she just couldn't get on with them (autistic and sensory issues, I knew she wouldn't but she wanted to try).

She had worn them outside very briefly but no evidence of that as such, had also tried to break them in at home over several days.

DM shop didn't bat an eyelid just gave a full refund.
