pain in shoulder blade/back

I've got that weird pain from sleeping in an awkward position, I woke up with it in the night 2 nights ago in my right shoulder blade. I don't get it very often but typically it goes away after 1 - 2 hours with a bit of gentle stretching. But it's not gone away and is really quite painful even when making small movements, even say with my left arm or hand (pain is in right shoulder). I've been taking painkillers and anti-inflammatories but there has been no notable reduction of pain. It's also making my chest hurt on the right (in line with where it hurts on the shoulder blade) and feel tight.

Any ideas for shifting it, please?

The lung scan confirmed there is a probably benign mass in left lung. I've had cancer before - not in lungs - so the oncologist is going to look at older images to see if the mass was there and if so if it has changed. However all doctors are certain that the mass is not what's causing pain.

I've also been having some digestive tests and so far they are all clear.

I have had the pain back since 2 days ago and it's so bad it makes me throw up. This is what reminded me to update the thread!

Thank you for updating I have often thought how you were.getting on but didnt want to hassle you either. Sorry to hear about all that is going on. It must be playing on your mind too. I hope they find out what is causing the pain and it is easily remedied. Please keep us posted as to how things are going. Wishing you well .💪
