I recycle less these days as im just not convinced it makes much difference.

I rarely eat fish and meat as I think maybe that makes a difference?

I have a brabantia bin and I just use normal supermarket bin bags in it.
Recycling, no. I tend to burn anything burnable on the coal fire, everything else just goes in the bin.
Glass jars go to my sister in law for her jam making.
We don't really eat tinned stuff, so I might have one tin every couple of weeks.

yes, but not as much as we did in a previous county we lived in. Our current council refuse to accept a lot of items and don’t even do food composting caddy collection.

I recycle glass, clothes & garden waste. Non-coated paper goes in the log burner, but they've closed our local tip and generally made it so much harder and more expensive to recycle magazines, tins and plastics, that I've given up. (I know the councils are strapped for cash too.)

The closest tip is now a 34 mile round trip and I'm a single mum working full time. I have other priorities.

I don't waste food though. I don't use plastic carrier bags. And I only put my general wheelie bin out once every five or six weeks. We don't generate a lot. Mostly plastic food trays, bean tins and junk mail.

I do in a half arsed way, two bins in the kitchen and separate into green and black outside. But honestly, not much point, when you see the bin men lob it all in one. Then look at the rest of the world population chucking shit in rivers. We’re indoctrinated to feel like we’re doing out bit but realistically it’s nothing
