Not sure why but my brain gets really confused and morphs them into one!

Had a google and it's not really a 'thing' that people seem to notice

Have asked a few people I know and they all say they're nothing alike

Oh yes! And similar with Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Gosling too.
It's weird that I can kinda tell them apart when watching, but I'm not always sure which one was in that other thing I saw a while back. What's even funnier is that I usually identify them by how likeable they are. I find Costner and his characters generally charismatic, masculine and strangely comforting despite their issues. Keaton and his characters I find ranging from insufferable to borderline psychotic. I guess they look very much alike around the nose/mouth area and maybe general shape of the face, but their eyes and mannerisms are quite different.

Me too. Especially men with short hair in suits. I could do with characters wearing name labels for the first few scenes.

Yeah I'm.a bit face blind too. Agree with cosna/keeton. I get Ben stiller and Adam Sandler mixed up even though they have started looking less similar as they aged. I think they played similar 'funny' roles in their early careers.

Remember that period drama Versailles? All the men had identical long floppy hair and drippy moustaches. I had to give up watching.

Unfortunately I have been accused of racism because of it. But generally two Korean lead actors will have the same skin colour, the same dark eyes and hair with the same hair cut often. I do find that British/American TV/film does give more physical variation in characters deliberately. Not just face but height, breth and buffness etc.

I would never be able to watch a movie with Michael Fassbender and Viggo Mortensen in it. I can't tell them apart.

Matt Damon was on the Graham Norton show talking about how him and Mark Wahlberg get mixed up by fans all the time. So much so, that they have a pact to always be nice to the fan who thinks they're the other guy, so as not to give him a bad reputation.

I know I sound like an old gimmer (I'm only 40) but I swear a lot of younger actresses and singers look so similar, mainly because lots of them have had nose jobs/ lip filler/ tweakments done to their face, and look pretty much identical.

I'm like that with Nicolas Cage and Mel Gibson 🤣🤣

I know someone who struggles to tell Hugh Grant and Colin Forth apart. The rest of us don't think they look anything alike but watching Love actually is really entertaining as you can spend the whole move asking which one is on the screen. Or if they're in a different movie separately you can ask which one it is and sometimes they get it right and sometimes they don't.

Definitely agree with the Departed (good film) but can't see Michael Keaton and Kevin Costner

Kenneth Branagh, Bryan Adams, Sean Bean and Eddie Izzard always look like the same guy to me. (Also a guy from my old college)

Ryan Reynolds, Chris Evans, Michael Fassbender, James, McAvoy and Richard Armitage all look like the same generic, basic middle aged man to me. Completely interchangeable.

I cannot see Kevin Costner and Michael Keaton being remotely similar.
