Four Candles was a funny sketch in the 70s by comedy duo The Two Ronnies where a customer in a general store and the shopkeeper continually misunderstand what is on his shopping list (four candles/fork handles). Most Brits over a certain age will know it. I have even seen it on Christmas cards.

I LOVE that sketch. Just viewed it again and still gave me a belly laugh! Also I remember shops like this - used to spend parts of my lunchtime in them buying bits for my newly-acquired house at the time. 🌹
