Long-lasting Citrus Perfume

budgiegirl · 23/12/2023 14:46

My mum has given me some money for Christmas, and I want to buy some perfume. I love citrus scents, and have Jo Malone's Lime Basil and Manderin, but the scent lasts no time at all.

I'd love some recommendations for long-lasting citrus based perfumes, that you don't need to constantly reapply! Want to spend probably £50-£100

Dolce & Gabbana Devotion has lovely citrus undertones and I find it super long lasting 👌🏼

Tom Ford Neroli Portofino is lovely, as is Tom Ford Mandarino di Amalfi which lighter but still lasts.

Do you wear body lotion? If so and you still
have some of the perfume left I’d suggest you buy a tub of the matching body cream if you can’t find an alternative perfume you like better
Unless they’ve changed how it’s made in recent years I always found the smell of the body cream lingered far longer than the perfume, making the perfume almost superfluous.

L’occitane Verveine - deliciously lemony

Seconded.

Floral Street - Arizona Bloom

is citrusy and lasts for ages and lingers on my clothes for days

It reminds me a bit of CK one which is the same citrusy smell

Another one for O de Lancome. Notino usually have good discounts and you can get it on there.

L'Occitane also do Citrus Verbena which is very lemony but does have a sherbet undertone.

Oh and Zara Vetiver Pamplemousse. Gorgeous!

Wow, the price on some of these!!

I thought that I’d massively splashed out buying the L’Occitane Verbena EDT which is £56!

It is lovely light and citrusy, and it lasts me all day.

Oh and Zara Vetiver Pamplemousse. Gorgeous!

Sadly lasts 5 minutes on me but cheap enough to keep topping up.

Clarins Eau Dynamisante is lovely, citrusy and energising but does not fit the long-lasting part of your brief so may have to reapply at lunchtime. Using the body lotion with it makes it last though.
