Am I alone in thinking it's lovely to see him back on the TV? He's clearly incredibly poorly still but it's lovely to have him back on the screen for Christmas.

Me too! Thought it might be the inevitable but so pleased it's not

Rewatching all their series currently

I like him them. I was so sad when I found out how ill he was,

MouseMinge · 19/12/2023 23:26

It was lovely to watch, the love between him and Si is such a beautiful thing and something you don't often see between two men making it even more special.

I'm waiting for my journey to start and he has inspired me, so thank you lovely Dave Myers although you won't read this!

Willmafrockfit · 21/12/2023 06:18

i do hope he is better soon.

Jemimapuddleduk · 22/12/2023 09:42

Absolutely loved the Christmas special. Dave and Si are just so wholesome and genuine. I did shed a few tears throughout whilst he was bravely opening up about his treatment. It brought back so many memories of my ds having cancer as a baby. We have all the cookbooks and have loved everything we have cooked, absolutely delicious food.
I hope his chemo comes to an end soon, it sounds like it has been really brutal.

Northsideoftheriver · 22/12/2023 09:50

I opened this with my eyes closed thinking oh no. Glad as well that it is not the bad news i thought it would be.
I think he's great.

Ilovemyshed · 29/02/2024 11:53

Very sad to see he has died ... bloody C

Willmafrockfit · 29/02/2024 14:10

So very sad

Totallybannanas · 29/02/2024 18:07

Was he still really ill? I only watch him on TV the other day and I thought he really didn't seem himself and the cancer had really taken it out for him. However I thought he was in recovery so was very surprised to hear this sad news today 😢

I've been watching their latest series and I've been worried about him because he was clearly still unwell. I feel really sad about his death. I'm (hopefully) midway through my treatment and that made me feel closer to what he's been going through albeit he had so much more than I'm (again, hopefully) having. He was such a lovely chap and I've never heard a bad word said about him. It's just so terribly sad that bastard cancer got him. I hope we see more of Si after this and I feel for him because this must hurt a lot, they'd been properly good friends for such a long time, but I will miss the two of them together. One of the loveliest partnerships on television and always so entertaining.

MouseMinge · 29/02/2024 19:57

Him and Si filming in California whilst trying cannabis-enhanced food was such a funny watch!

That was hilarious. So many giggles.
