Is this weird?

Last week I called the GP about something and the receptionist booked an appointment by phone for yesterday. I actually forgot about the appointment and wasn't with my phone and when I got my phone again it had 50 missed called from the doctor! Is this not really weird? It wasn't an urgent issue at all and even then I would be surprised at the amount of calls. 50 missed calls? I am of course going to call back tomorrow in the morning as the receptionist said if I called in the morning I could usually get a same day appointment so don't need to be told to call them but honestly 50 missed calls?

I doubt it was the receptionist manually phoning 50 times!!! It was probably on auto-ring (left on too long or glitched) with a connection made through to the doctors when you answer the call (like some cold call companies do).

Didn’t realise this was still going on, called them back and they was really lovely really wasn’t a problem I missed it and managed to get a new appointment which I didn’t miss..Luckily my doctors are kind and understanding unlike the majority of mumsnet 😏
