Do I have any rights for a replacement or repair

I bought a laptop in march a few days ago the casing round the screen came away, the next day I went to charge it wouldn't turn on. It hasn't turned on since. I bought it from argos. Do I have any rights here at all?

Sorry it will turn on but screen is completely black. I've tried all the things online.

It should be under warranty, did you register it?

Viviennemary · 15/12/2023 21:39

Take it back. They should either replace it or repair it. They might ask you if it has been dropped.

How did the casing come away?

ChristmasPuddingPie · 15/12/2023 21:44

Definitely wasn't dropped it was a cheap laptop so I don't know if thats why. Not fussed if they won't just thought I would ask before buying a now one. It just started to come away but was still able to use it so I just left it.
