If I was adding to an order for the DC, it might be a couple of starters, onion bhaji and a prawn puri.

If I'm feeling extravagant king prawn korma.

I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food.

But this Xmas eve, I am treating DC and self to a takeaway. (Probably end up being from 3 different places as they'll want something different).

I never have takeaway but passed a local one this very morning and thought I might one day get a prawn dish (one of those that does vegetable dishes as an afterthought) - cannot remember what prawn dish as a few sounded nice - all the usual suspects, plus a tarka dhal.

PickledMuffin · 13/12/2023 18:49

@spinspinspinthewheel Yes 🙌 pretty much what we'd order!

I cant eat curry sauce since covid back in 2020 (fucking shit).

I know have chicken tikka main, tarka daal, buttered naan.

used to me a chicken jalfrezei or dhansak, pilau rice, mushroom bhaji.

What changed for you after having Covid?

I can't eat sweet things/ refined sugar as my tongue burns. It's bizarre (I keep trying the odd chocolate occasionally though, but am always left, very quickly, with a strange burning sensation over my tongue).

LindorDoubleChoc · 13/12/2023 18:51

It varies - I don't always order the same thing, except I always have a side of Tarka dahl from my local place because it is sublime.

Sometimes I like malai kofta. I love baingan bharta but rarely eat it as DH isn't keen. Bhindi also delicious but don't often see it as an option.

I'm also a massive fan of a stuffed paratha (especially potato), but not for dinner - primarily for breakfast with plenty of butter and yoghurt. Yum!
