... and so each day up until Christmas I will be bringing you a small scene from Playmoland. A kind of Playmobil advent calendar, with just a simple picture each day.

What's behind the door today?

Some snowmen which the children have made! Xmas Smile

I see Marta hasn’t started on the blue wine yet!

SoMuchToBits · 16/12/2023 14:39

Thank you @Oblomov23 , you can thank @petalpower for prodding me into doing this one! @ChessieFL I'm sure they'll have cracked it open by this evening, after all their hard work arranging the decorations! Xmas Wink

Quiet here today! But I'll be back in the morning to open another door. Xmas Smile
I'm sure they must have started the blue Wine by now...

What's behind the door today? A shepherd and sheep!

Those sheep look very happy. I hope they are not destined for any cooking pots. < Looks sternly at pot-owners>

Westfacing · 17/12/2023 08:16

Pristine snow - I can feel the chill!

I love the thread's backdrop Bits it's much nicer than William & Kate's Xmas card! Xmas Smile

SoMuchToBits · 17/12/2023 08:19

I haven't seen William and Kate's card - for some strange reason I don't appear to be on their Christmas card list! Xmas Grin
What do you think the Playmo royal family would put on their Christmas card?

I always enjoy the positionable animals!

I think the Playmo Royal Christmas Card would feature the king visiting his elderly subjects (are there any old Playmolanders? I can’t remember…)

Here it is - too much wrinkly backdrop not enough of the people!

Ah, I see what you mean! The children suddenly all look very grown up too!

Yes, there are some elderly Playmo people. Here's a photo from 2019 when the children were delivering their Harvest Festival baskets to the people in the Sea View day centre for the elderly.

Lovely shepherds!
The old people in the day centre seem to have very stiff legs but are obviously enjoying the children visiting.

petalpower · 17/12/2023 08:57

The sheep are incredibly clean too - Playmoland is a magical place!

SoMuchToBits · 17/12/2023 08:57

Ah, I think stiff legs are a common feature for Playmo people, whatever their age! Xmas Wink

Luckily it doesn’t seem to bother them or stop them doing energetic physical activities.

SoMuchToBits · 17/12/2023 09:31

Just as well they can still get up to all sorts of things! I'm having a bit of a chuckle about the clean sheep too... Xmas Grin

I'd love to hear everyone else's suggestions for what the Playmo royal family should put on their Christmas card! Xmas Smile

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 17/12/2023 14:38

Well I don’t know, because I understand that royal families like to put photos of themselves on their cards but I think this is really tacky so I think it would be better to have just a snowy nature scene like non royal people.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 17/12/2023 14:38

Like maybe some sheep standing by a bale of hay.

Pixiedust1234 · 17/12/2023 16:26

Well that was a bit surreal. Going from all the advent pictures of being plain-ish on white background, to the Royal black/white photo then ...

BAM!!! STRAIGHT IN THE FACE!!! bright colour of the harvest festival 😂😂

MoverOfPaper · 17/12/2023 17:24

Thanks. I’ve binged a couple of days doors this evening. Made my blue wine hangover a little better.

SoMuchToBits · 17/12/2023 17:42

@TheCountessofFitzdotterel I'll let King Athelstan know your thoughts. I'm sure I have some bales of hay somewhere in one of the farm sets!

Sorry for the colour overload @Pixiedust1234 !

@MoverOfPaper I think you might need Norman to make you a fry-up! Xmas Wink

OP posts:
MoverOfPaper · 17/12/2023 17:55

I could completely do with that. Is that a service he offers? I think I need Kylie too…

SoMuchToBits · 17/12/2023 18:02

Well, he likes a good fry-up himself, so maybe while he's at it, he could throw in a few sausages and eggs for you! Xmas Grin
