Legoland Billund/Lego house- help me!

I've just made a massive whoopsie and booked flights to Billund for next February before discovering that Legoland is not actually open until April... I assumed when trying to book tickets that they just weren't available for booking yet for next year. Of course the flights are with Ryanair so the chance of cancelling immediately is slim to none.

For anyone who has been to Billund, is it worth going if we can't do legoland but can go to lego house? We were planning on staying at Lalandia so can fill some time with activities there also. Or should I suck it up and change our flights for later on in the year when legoland is open? Could literally kick myself right now.

Lego house is amazing! You can easily spend the whole day in there.

It is actually better then legoland, if you are a die hard lego fan.

Legoland Windsor is actually better than legoland billund. Billund is a bit dated.

Enjoy!

Oh, that's a disappointment, but if you're going for a short break, it will be fine.

One day Lego House
One day Lalandia waterpark etc complex

There's probably local playparks, walks, wander round Billund, that sort of thing, plus relaxing in the accommodation and any on site facilities.

You could get the bus/train out somewhere else if you're at a loose end. See what's available. The coast looks accessible either east or west, there seems to be a lot of national parks around. Aarhus is just over an hour away so might be worth visiting?

There's a Teddy bear museum next to the Lego house, has a cafe and garden to walk round.

Thanks everyone for reassuring me. Turns out (very surprisingly) Ryanair give you 24hrs grace period where they don't charge you to change the dates/times so we have rebooked for Easter weekend. I think the kids would have been gutted to go all that way and not be able to go to Legoland. Will be booking ALL the tickets over the weekend

The Lego House is amazing - we have been loads of times. You can go to Legoland in the UK 🤷‍♀️ I would have kept tickets as they are - we always go when Legoland isn’t open now! Definitely don’t miss the Lego House when you go - never been anywhere like it!
