I haven't seen a thread on this yet, so here's a thread to share hints for the Hidden Books Game this year:

@diddl for mythology, are they male or female and where did they all live?

The Wedding Picture - think of synonyms for the last two words. It was shortlisted for the women's prize this year.

Thanks for the clues, that's me got them all without having to ask for anything.

Weirdly the Natural History one is the first one I got but so many people seem to be stuck on it, and it's not one I've ever actually read.

The bin one took me ages, I actually had it and it just wasn't accepting it. I had to click on something else and go back and it accepted it then which was really weird.

DragonBlaze · 16/11/2023 17:37

Can anyone help me with the natural history one?

Okay My Last one is the Revision One, I know it's about Physics I just can't figure out the title even with the clues you've given me.

Thanks!

I'm sure I'd tried variations of the answers!

InMySpareTime · 16/11/2023 17:42

It's not physics, it's the science of the periodic table

narrucO1 · 16/11/2023 17:42

Very easy. Very well known book.

Thewolvesarerunningagain · 16/11/2023 17:43

I'm stuck on the morris dancer and Annies picks!
@DragonBlaze maybe you have the wrong science.

diddl · 16/11/2023 17:44

Just Annie's picks & the bestsellers to do!

DragonBlaze · 16/11/2023 17:45

Thank You!!

TattiePants · 16/11/2023 17:46

@diddl and @Thewolvesarerunningagain for Annie, it's a one word synonym of the book titles, also made into a film. The author's name on one of the books is the name of one of the main characters.

InMySpareTime · 16/11/2023 17:47

The Annie in question was played by Kathy Bates in the film adaptation

OP posts:
Thewolvesarerunningagain · 16/11/2023 17:48

@TattiePants OMG! that is one of my favourites and I even re-read it this year! Aargh!!!!

Thank you

CCElle · 16/11/2023 17:48

I still need

Lion
Children fighting
Woman with suitcase
Bestsellers
Old man sitting down with bandage
Door with ice?

Any help would be appreciated :)

narrucO1 · 16/11/2023 17:48

What can't you see ?

Thewolvesarerunningagain · 16/11/2023 17:49

@diddl the bestseller in question is a name and it is an adaptation of an earlier work

InMySpareTime · 16/11/2023 17:50

@CCElle I think all those are clued upthread if you look through

OP posts:
Grumio · 16/11/2023 17:52

Yay finally finished!!

Ha ha!

I was on completely the wrong track for the word!

Thewolvesarerunningagain · 16/11/2023 18:05

Phew - finally finished!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 16/11/2023 18:07

I've been through the thread and clues I'm still stuck on

Bestseller
Bin
Morris dancer
Kids fighting
Romance

@TattiePants Help?! Or indeed anyone

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 16/11/2023 18:09

@CCElle
It's not ice on the door

The name of the woman with the suitcase is indicated by the T-shirt

book2345678 · 16/11/2023 18:10

@EineReiseDurchDieZeit
morris dancing - where did it originate, what do you call someone being treated by a doctor
kids fighting - what are they dressed up as.
