I get lightheaded when in a room with a bouncy castle?

Just wondering if anyone else gets this. I was lightheaded at a kids birthday party today and I remembered two other episodes in the last year when I was inexplicably lightheaded and on all three occasions I was in an enclosed room with a bouncy castle! I wonder how that happens because doesn't a bouncy castle just pump air through itself but doesn't change the oxygen levels I would have thought?

Bouncy castles have electric blower/s constantly working to keep them inflated. It's nothing to do with oxygen.
Do you think could have been the smell of the material it's made from. It's a plasticky/rubbery smell.

No, but I feel a bit heavy if I’m in a room with a big anvil in it.

When you're looking at it? could be vestibular- like sea sickness from the movement and lines- don't they usually have different coloured stripes and turrets and things?

Do you get social anxiety at all?

Was happening when I wasn't even looking at it, and I don't get social anxiety. I realised these were all rooms in the same building though which have one big party after another and no windows, maybe it's just terrible ventilation and very high CO2 in this building!

Do you have any memories of bouncy castles from your childhood?

Fantasia99 · 12/11/2023 10:47

It's probably the constant noise. They're really loud. My friend had one at her daughter's birthday recently and regretted booking a small hall. There was enough space but the bouncy castle drowned out the playlist she had spent ages on. Oops!
