Anyone with a B.A. in English from UCL?

I’m hoping someone with a B.A. from UCL in English could help me with a quick question. Does your diploma say ‘Bachelor of Arts in English’ or something different / more specific like ‘English Literature’?

Quick background re. why I’m asking:

I’m in a different European country and our start-up business is currently interviewing candidates for an open position. We’ve narrowed the field down to the final three and I was having another look through their applications. One candidate has a B.A. from UCL in English (diploma says ‘Bachelor of Arts in English’). I can’t put my finger on it, but something about that diploma feels off to me. Scan quality isn’t great either and now I’m wondering if the degree name wouldn’t be something slightly more specific like English Literature, Linguistics or similar.
Excuse my ignorance, I’m not British, didn’t study in the UK and couldn’t get a definitive answer from Google. We haven’t had the diploma verified by UCL / HEDD as the degree isn’t massively relevant to the job, but we obviously don’t want to hire a fraud and may still have the degree verified. I believe the candidate would have to sign a consent form first and I’m also not sure how long the whole process would take, so thought I’d ask on here as a first step.

No personal experience but BA English at UCL does appear to be "a thing"

This is mine, obviously quite old now but the UCAS course code linked above is still the same as when I did it

Thank you, CosilyRosily, I did look at that link as well, just wasn't sure if students would pick a more specialised field such as literature or linguistics during the course of their studies. I'm fairly sure that my friend with an English degree from a different UK uni has 'English Literature' on their diploma, but obviously, different universities will have different course layouts.

@NCucl thank you very much, that's very helpful, I was clearly on the wrong track there!
